Not everyone is happy leaving their van in the showroom state and many innovative modifications have been demonstrated by club members and associates.

Rob's solution to the dreadful slide switches that come standard on the internal light fittings. The switch is a Mini Rocker Centre-Off SPDT available from Jaycar Electronics for $4.95. It has a positive click action. 
The original sliding plate prises off with a small screwdriver and the slide switch underneath can be popped out of its mounting clips. This leaves a rectangular opening of the right width. The length needs to be increased by about 1mm by filing until the new switch can be pressed in. The old wiring needs to be soldered to the new switch. Easy and neat. I have done both lights and so nice to use.
